By activating a customer–initiated donation prompt natively within CATAPULT Web Office®, Redner’s increased donation participation and total funds raised across multiple campaigns.
Purposeful Design at the Point of Payment
The pin pad donation capability is a native component within the ECRS CATAPULT retail automation solution. Removing the need for cashier initiation, donation prompts are presented directly to the shopper at the point of payment. This approach enables consistent engagement, reduces reliance on verbal prompts, and allows customers to act independently without interrupting transaction flow.
Incredible Results at Redner’s Markets
After validating the workflow internally, Redner’s Markets enabled the pin pad to prompt across attended POS lanes and recorded immediate gains:
- POS Prompted Round Up (9/4–9/22, 2025): $3,219.62
- Pin Pad Prompt (9/23–10/1, 2025): $10,507.71
- Total Raised: $13,727.33
