ECRS Issues Third-Party Integration & API Guidance to Strengthen Openness and Support Retailers at Scale

Boone, NC — March 12, 2026 —ECRS® has announced the release of its updated Third-Party Integration & API Guidance, a comprehensive resource designed to clarify how retailers and solution providers can integrate with the CATAPULT® platform through standardized, reusable API endpoints. The guidance underscores ECRS’ longstanding commitment to openness while maintaining the stability and reliability required by high-performance retail environments.

  • Customer Sponsored Development: When new APIs are required, an active CATAPULT retailer drives and funds the effort. 
  • Integration to Standard Interfaces: Third parties develop against generic endpoints—not custom or exclusive APIs. 
  • Production Validation: Completed integrations demonstrate performance and reliability in a live retail environment. 

This workflow ensures integrations are grounded in real-world needs and delivers measurable value from day one.
